Honestly, everything about my stories and characters is “Then and Now”.

I spent ’99-’04 creating characters and stories for crazy fun, but also to lead up to the Crisis. I wanted to see certain characters in certain places during the story. Problem was, I became attached to those characters. Also, I was very unskilled in writing. I’m still far from perfect and I learn every day. Still, I look at those old stories and shudder.

Anyway, Crisis began in September of ’04 and I discovered Annabelle the very same month. I managed to get a few Crisis issues out before my Annabelle obsession drove me to write the novel. The following two and a half years I squeezed Crisis out when I could. The board continued on so I wrote a few stories with the survivors of Crisis that took place in the current story lines.

So, to properly catch people up, I need to separate this into THEN and NOW.

THEN (Currently in Crisis)
I’m not going to go too in depth about the Crisis story because I do that at the beginning of Crisis #15, but I’ll go into my top characters and where they are at at the most recent post.

Amazing Guy (Scott Brunsen); Leader of the JBH (Justa Bunch of Heroes) and Protector of the Parodyverse, AG is knee deep in the thick of things, helping to keep the remaining seven universes alive and well until agents of the deceased Lurker can use the Infinity Pencil to separate and heal the universes. After several bad situations, Scott has gone to the Hooded Hood for help to retcon his identity and those of his wife and four kids. The last Pre-Crisis tale that covers some of this is here. The original Amazing Guy (Tom Irving) returned from Earth Tricky (his birth place) to help him in the Crisis. Tom was last seen back in his universe, about to die thanks to the Cowled Criminal.

Trickshot; The arrogant archer rediscovered his father as seen here. His dad died, which caused him to get even more unruly. Soon after, he discovered that the alternate Earth that he grew up on (Earth Tricky) was still around but cut off from him. He wants to get back there in the worst way. His relationship with Natalia Romanza is still very “iffy”. Oh, and he played darts with Dancer,

Jack Rabbit, Jackie Rabbit, Kid Produce and the JBH; After years exiled in space thanks to the Hooded Hood, Jack Rabbit finally returned and reunited with his twin sister Jackie. Visionary 5 (the super genius from the far future and charter member of the Lair Legion of Super Heroes) became obsessed with Jackie, used and abused one of his teammates to find out that Jackie thinks he’s a creep. He’s slowly going insane. Jack has had nightmares where Jackie dies in the Crisis. All his nightmares are starting to come true. Jasper (Kid Produce) has always been in love with Jackie. He can never get the courage to ask her out. The JBH had a sentient satellite called Vessel but it was destroyed during the Crisis. The vampire child called Emily Knowles has kept watch over Jackie but we have yet to find out why. Xander knew at the end of the Haunted Parodyverse Saga
that Jackie had indeed died back then, but special circumstances allowed her to still ‘live’

Justin Tyme; My favorite time traveler (and if I have my way, star of his own completely different novel series) was in a pickle. The Crisis messed up his timer, sending him bouncing within minutes of time. He could never stay in one place at a time. When the universes got pulled into a safe dimension temporarily, all time merged as one. This allowed Justin to stop bouncing through time.

The last story that featured my iconic characters (Amazing Guy, Trickshot, Jack Rabbit, Justin Tyme and Emily Knowles) can be read here.

You can catch up with Crisis here. It has been updated, with Emily and company replacing Annabelle and company. I DARE you to find Annabelle anywhere in it.

NOW

Amazing Guy (Tom Irving?); We’ve only seen AG in Untold Tales. More on him, his wife Sue and his four kids after Crisis.

Trickshot; Depressed after losing friends and the destruction of his home Earth in Crisis, Carl had a one night stand with Lisette at Mumphrey’s Christmas party, helped orphans during Christmas, returned from being trapped in the Mythlands, met a beautiful female crime fighter who actually likes him and fought the Composite Hatman. A mysterious man known as the Query has stated that Trickshot is the key to several mysteries.

Jack Rabbit, Jackie Rabbit, Kid Produce and the JBH; Jack Rabbit is retired after the tragic events during the Crisis. He is a school teacher in Fresno, California. Jackie Rabbit could be dead. The JBH was disbanded during the Crisis and Kid Produce has seemingly changed after his life went downhill. He can be seen in Untold Tales. He’s been working with the went Junior Lair Legion and acting very different.

Well, that’s it for now. More to come!
